Blue Hat Coffee: Your Cozy Retreat for Exceptional Brews in Farmington

A wonderful addition to Farmington. Great decor and service and an airy ambiance. The coffee is fantastic and better than Starbucks! The food was incredible, they give a huge wedge of apple pie. Highly recommended.

I was in the neighborhood and I seen this coffee. It was my first time trying this coffee shop. The quality was good. They make homemade syrups. The atmosphere was good. A very quiet place to study or read. I will definitely be returning.

A coffee shop with tons of space! I appreciated the non-caffeine/low caffeine options, and I was most delighted by their blackberry Italian cream soda. (My favorite!) You’ll also find the typical coffee and caffeinated drinks. The display case was filled with baked treats, for breakfast or dessert, and they have a breakfast and lunch menu. Delightful staff and a bright and cheery atmosphere.

Great atmosphere snacks and drinks. Gluten free options. Board games. Free little library.

Place is quite big and spacious perfect for some group study and work sessions. Good and reasonable prices for coffee. Delicious bakery items.

The new coffee shop has a lovely atmophere and fluffy, dense croissants perfect for filling up on your way to work. ●■●■●■●■●■●■●■●■●■●■●■● Like if helpful! ●■●■●■●■●■●■●■●■●■●■●■● ⭐ Coffee Their flat white has a very good balance and their black coffee has a free refill. ⭐ Food The croissants are the most filling in all of downtown Farmington Hills. Not as flaky as some other coffee houses once warmed, but certainly satisfying to bite into. Many of their baked items are house-made! ⭐ Staff The baristas and owner are friendly, and may check in to make sure you are enjoying your lounge-time and breakfast. ⭐ Cost The cost is fair depending on the item and most are better than other coffee houses nearby. Their croissant being one in particular I am most happy with; just a little over $4 for buttery goodness. ⭐ Atmosphere Mostly chairs, but also sofas and couch near entrance. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of gentle lighting with chandeliers. Artwork on every wall. Jewelry art displayed too. There is no music at this time. ●■●■●■●■●■●■●■●■●■●■●■● Once the old city hall, now a classy coffee house. Take a walk on over and relax by the corner.

I had such a great experience at Blue Hat Coffee! It’s always nice to find a new staple study spot, and this is definitely one of them! There’s plenty of space and power outlets, the baristas are so kind and welcoming, and the drinks and snacks are amazing (I got the chai latte, brownie, and cheesecake). Shoutout to the barista yesterday — she made sure everyone in the coffee shop felt right at home and went around asking if anyone needed anything from time to time. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Excellent service, the freshest baked goods in downtown Farmington and the atmosphere absolutely the most wonderful thing! Nice eclectic array of artwork and other original pieces created by the owner. I’ve held many of my gatherings for my own small business here and I love it! 5 Stars across the board!
